Job Title: Senior Accountant (Indian Accounts concept)


We are looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Senior Accountant specializing in Indian accounting concepts and taxation compliance to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with taxation regulations, preparing financial reports, and overseeing accounts receivable and payables processes.


Job Responsibilities:

1. Taxation Compliance:

· Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all Indian taxation regulations, including TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), GST (Goods and Services Tax), income tax, and other applicable taxes.

· Manage and monitor TDS related work, including deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS returns within prescribed timelines.

· Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance.


2. Accounts Preparation and Costing:

· Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements as per Indian accounting standards (Ind AS/AS).

· Prepare cost sheets and perform cost analysis to support decision-making and budgeting processes.


3. Accounts Receivable and Payable Management:

· Oversee accounts receivable and payable functions, ensuring timely billing, collections, and payments.

· Monitor aging of receivables and payables and take necessary actions for timely recovery and payments.


4. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

· Prepare and analyze financial reports on a regular basis (monthly, quarterly, and annually) to provide insights into business performance.

· Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.


5. Compliance Monitoring:

· Monitor and ensure timely payment of commissions, taxes, and other statutory dues.

· Prepare and file compliance reports and returns related to TDS, GST, and other applicable taxes.


6. Budgeting and Forecasting:

· Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts based on business objectives and historical data.

· Monitor budget performance and provide explanations for variances.

· Audit Support and Process Improvement:

· Coordinate and assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.

· Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency enhancements in accounting procedures.


7. Team Collaboration and Communication:

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and legal, to ensure alignment on financial matters and compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Communicate financial information and compliance updates effectively to stakeholders.


Desired Candidate Requisites:

1. Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

· Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent certification preferred.

· Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role with expertise in Indian accounting standards and taxation compliance.


2. Technical Skills:

· Strong understanding of Indian accounting principles and practices, including Ind AS/AS.

· In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation laws, including TDS, GST, and income tax regulations.

· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel for financial analysis.


3. Analytical Skills and Attention to Detail:

· Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail in financial reporting and compliance activities.

· Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Ability:

· Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to make informed decisions based on financial data and regulations.


4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
