With a strong innovation culture and proven execution excellence, ideaForge is transforming how aerial data is captured, processed, and utilized across India.Role Overview:The Project Manager GIS Projects will oversee the end-to-end execution of UAV-based mapping, geospatial, and inspection projects for government and enterprise clients. This leadership role combines strategic planning, operational management, and stakeholder engagement. The incumbent will ensure that all projects are delivered within scope, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards.You will collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and analytics teams while serving as the primary interface between clients, internal teams, and external partners.Key Planning & Delivery:- Lead end-to-end management of UAV-based geospatial and inspection projects from initiation and planning to execution, delivery, and closure.- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.- Monitor project progress against defined KPIs and ensure timely delivery within agreed SLAs.Team Leadership & Coordination:- Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams including UAV pilots, GIS specialists, and data analysts.- Facilitate coordination between on-ground operations, data processing, and client delivery teams.- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.Stakeholder & Client Management:- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and satisfaction.- Conduct regular project review meetings, milestone sign-offs, and final acceptance sessions.- Build long-term client relationships by ensuring delivery excellence and responsiveness.Compliance & Risk Management:- Ensure adherence to all regulatory norms, including DGCA and data security protocols.- Manage tender-based project execution and documentation for public sector engagements.- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively to avoid delivery delays or cost overruns.Process Excellence & Reporting:- Maintain project documentation including execution plans, risk registers, and post-implementation reviews.- Recommend process improvements, automation, and technology enhancements to optimize delivery efficiency.- Provide management-level reporting on project performance, profitability, and client satisfaction metrics.Qualifications & Experience:Education: Bachelors or Masters degree Project Management and certification (PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile) Minimum 6+ years of experience in GIS / UAV mapping / remote sensing project delivery, with 3+ years in a project management capacity.- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale UAV or GIS projects such as city-scale mapping, infrastructure inspections, or corridor mapping.- Experience working with government tenders or public sector compliance frameworks.Technical Proficiency:- Strong knowledge of GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS) and photogrammetry software (Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, ContextCapture).- Understanding of LiDAR data processing, orthomosaic generation, DEM/DSM creation, and 3D modeling.- Familiarity with cloud-based geospatial data management systems and workflows.- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or equivalent platforms.Core Competencies:- Strategic planning and execution management- Strong leadership and team motivation skills- Client and stakeholder management excellence- Analytical problem-solving and decision-making- Excellent written and verbal communication- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight timelines (ref:iimjobs.com)
