DataVolt - Senior Associate - Investments & Financing

The Senior Associate is expected to work with the Senior Team members in the Investment and Financing Team in executing key transactions for DataVolt.


Key Responsibilities includes :

1. Project Financing and Capital Structuring

- Financial Modelling: Lead the development and maintenance of complex financial models (including Project Finance Models) to analyze project returns, funding requirements, valuation and for raising financing for greenfield and brownfield data center projects.

- Structuring & Optimization: work with the team to develop optimal capital structures, including debt, equity, and hybrid solutions, to maximize project returns while managing risk.

- Scenario Analysis: Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess potential outcomes and recommend optimal financing structures.

- Due Diligence: Coordinate financial, technical, legal, and operational due diligence, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.

2. Investment Analysis and Deal Execution

- Investment Memoranda: Prepare detailed investment memoranda, presenting key findings and recommendations to internal committees and external stakeholders.

- Transaction Execution: Support the end-to-end execution of financing transactions, from initial term sheet discussions to financial close, including liaising with lenders, advisors, and legal teams.

- Risk Assessment: Work with the team to identify, analyze, and model key risks associated with data center financing and ensure risk allocation aligns with project objectives.

3. Market Research and Strategic Planning

- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on trends in the data center and infrastructure financing space, including interest rates, regulatory changes, and technology advancements.

- Competitive Analysis: Conduct periodic analysis of competitors, their financing structures, and market positioning to inform investment strategies.

- Project Pipeline Support: Contribute to the strategic planning and evaluation of new project opportunities, aligning with the company's investment objectives and growth targets.

4. Stakeholder Management and Reporting

- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, legal, operations) and external stakeholders (banks, advisors, investors) to facilitate seamless project financing.
