Language Editor

Job Summary:

As an L3 Language Editing QA specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality in language editing and content accuracy. You will perform detailed reviews and edits of documents to guarantee adherence to language standards, style guides, and client specifications. This role requires a deep understanding of language nuances, advanced editing skills, and the ability to provide constructive feedback to improve the overall quality of the content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Language Editing: Perform thorough editing of complex documents, ensuring grammatical accuracy, proper syntax, clarity, and consistency.
• Quality Assurance: Review and validate the adherence of edited content to established style guides, brand guidelines, and client requirements.
• Error Identification: Detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and formatting, as well as identify and resolve inconsistencies in terminology and style.
• Feedback and Guidance: Provide detailed feedback and recommendations for improvement to junior editors and writers, fostering their development and ensuring high editorial standards.
• Project Management: Manage and prioritize multiple editing tasks and projects, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards under pressure.
• Collaboration: Work closely with content creators, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and client expectations.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of editing processes, guidelines, and best practices to improve overall efficiency and quality.

Desired Candidate:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in language editing or quality assurance roles, with a focus on advanced-level editing and QA.
• Proficiency in grammar, syntax, and stylistic conventions.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with various style guides
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with editing software and tools
