The Role:

Director/AVP – Finance

A highly skilled and experienced professional for Commercial Finance team. Possessing strong financial acumen, in-depth knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis, along with a proven ability to collaborate across departments. This role requires a proactive approach to financial management, keen business insights, and the ability to drive strategic financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
  • Actively participating in company’s annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning process.
  • Develop financial models, including scenario analysis, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide insights into key business drivers, financial performance trends, and operational KPIs to senior management.
  • Commercial Finance:
  • Partner with business units to develop financial strategies that support revenue growth and profitability.
  • Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and customer profitability analysis.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to provide financial guidance on commercial deals.
  • Management Reporting & Analysis:
  • Drive the monthly and quarterly management reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Present financial results, variance analysis, and business insights to leadership.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Business Partnering:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by providing financial insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop financial business cases for new initiatives and investments.
  • Ensure alignment of financial objectives with overall business goals.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify and implement process improvements in FP&A and commercial finance workflows.
  • Leverage financial systems and tools to streamline reporting, planning, and analysis process

Skills Required:

  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting techniques, financial modeling, and commercial finance principles.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset and the ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership: Proven track record in leading teams and driving financial initiatives that support business objectives.
  • Systems Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with Power BI or similar tools is an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or professional qualification (CA, CPA, CMA) is highly preferred.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or a similar role, preferably in a dynamic business environment.
