For more information, please visit http://www.ixigo.comJob Description:As a Principal Engineer - Android, you will be involved in all aspects of development, playing a critical role in the design, planning, development, and deployment and helping develop best practices for future development. You will be part of a young and multicultural team that builds a cutting-edge travel consumer-facing product. We are looking for a self-driven individual to join us in an individual contributor role who embodies task ownership, accountability, and the ability to drive results independently. Roles & Responsibilities: Developing, releasing, and maintaining native Android Applications and overseeing mobile application development efforts Deliver across the entire app life cycle, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualise, build, test and release products Work on bug fixing and improving application performance. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency Optimising performance for the apps and keeping up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile technologies Qualifications: At least an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering 5-7 years of experience at cutting-edge organizations or startups Extensive experience in developing mobile apps using Android SDK, with proficiency in Core Java and design patterns Experience with e-business/e-commerce applications and business environment is a must Any experience with internet companies or the travel industry will be a plus Must have: Deep understanding of Android development SDK and strong problem-solving skills Deep understanding ofAndroid SDKandAndroid architecture components . Strong programming skills inKotlinandCore Java . Hands-on experience withJetpack Composefor modern UI development. Proficiency withGradlebuild system and dependency management. Experience inDagger 2 / Hiltfor dependency injection. Solid grasp ofalgorithms, data structures, and design patterns . Strong knowledge ofnetwork interaction, debugging, concurrency, and multi-threadingin Android. Experience inunit testing ,instrumentation testing , and test-driven development (TDD). Understanding of completeapp lifecycle— development, CI/CD pipelines, deployment, and maintenance. Familiarity withapp security ,performance optimization tools , andprofilers . Experience withcontinuous integrationtools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong passion for programming.
