We are a Space Safety and Logistics Company, using technology to save the Trillion $ Space industry from Debris Pollution in Space. We believe that the problems of Earth can be solved using Space. However, the rapid increase in the number of satellites is also increasing the risk of satellite collision, leading to Debris pollution- making space a dangerous place for other satellites as well as astronauts. To prevent this, we are developing an Agile, Safe, Efficient and Affordable Green Propulsion System with a new fuel, engine and catalyst for the engine to avoid satellite collision in space and prevent Debris Pollution, which can hence be a potential green alternative to the current monopropellant propulsion technology.


About the Role -


Responsibilities


  • System Architecture and Design
  • Take ownership of the entire design process and system architecture, from conceptualization to implementation.
  • Ensure that products align with the startup's vision, mission objectives, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with spacecraft subsystems.
  • Requirements Management
  • Define and manage system requirements based on customer needs and industry standards.
  • Utilize NASA system engineering processes to develop clear and concise requirements documentation.
  • Risk Management
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with the propulsion system.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure mission success.
  • Testing and Validation
  • Plan and execute system-level tests to validate the performance and reliability of propulsion systems.
  • Collaborate with testing teams to analyze results and implement necessary improvements.
  • Documentation
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system engineering documentation in accordance with NASA standards.
  • Generate technical reports, specifications, and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project Coordination
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure that engineering activities align with project timelines and objectives.
  • Participate in regular project meetings and provide technical expertise to support decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in space propulsion technology and integrate relevant innovations into our systems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.


Qualifications


  • Education


  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).


  • Experience
  • Proven experience in space system engineering, particularly in propulsion systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in a high-tech, product-based environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively balancing performance, resource use, risk, cost, and schedule.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and communicating technical information effectively.
  • Ability to flexibly and positively deal with evolving project constraints.


  • Skills
  • Ability to filter information to focus on key aspects and maintain attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of urgency.


Preferred Skills


  • Experience in the application of systems engineering methods.
  • Manufacturing and production experience.
  • Experience working in a geographically widespread team.
