Computational Linguist

Key Responsibilities

• Research and Development: Conduct advanced research in computational linguistics and NLP to develop innovative solutions for language-related challenges.
• Model Development: Design, implement, and optimize linguistic models and algorithms for various applications, including text analysis, speech recognition, and machine translation.
• Project Management: Lead and manage projects from conception to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and product managers, to integrate linguistic models into products and services.
• Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and improve the accuracy and performance of linguistic models.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior linguists and researchers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation of methodologies, processes, and results for internal and external stakeholders.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest advancements in computational linguistics, NLP, and related fields, and incorporate new knowledge into ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Education: A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Experience working with US clients/ organizations. Experience in computational linguistics, NLP, or a related area, with a strong focus on model development and deployment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and experience with NLP libraries and frameworks.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work with complex datasets and models.
• Communication: Strong English communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Innovative Mindset: Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a keen interest in the latest trends and advancements in computational linguistics and NLP.
