Summary: The QMS Compliance Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance withAS9100Drequirements. The role ensures that all processes, procedures, and documentation meet applicable aerospace standards and regulatory requirements, supporting the organization’s goal of achieving customer satisfaction and audit readiness.Key Responsibilities: QMS Implementation & Maintenance Maintain and improve the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) perAS9100DandISO 9001:2015standards. Ensure process compliance across design, manufacturing, and support functions. Develop and update QMS documentation including manuals, procedures, and process maps. Internal Audits & Compliance Plan, schedule, and conductinternal auditsto assess compliance with AS9100D requirements. Prepare audit reports, track nonconformities, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Coordinate and supportexternal audits(customer, registrar, or regulatory). Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Monitor and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and process improvements. Document Control & Configuration Management Manage QMS documentation through a controlled document management system. Ensure revision control, approval, and distribution of controlled documents. Maintain configuration records as per AS9100D clause 8.1.2. Supplier & Process Compliance Supportsupplier evaluation and performance monitoringper AS9100D Clause 8.4. Ensure supplier compliance with quality standards and documentation requirements. Training & Awareness Conduct QMS awareness training for employees to promote a quality-first culture. Ensure staff understanding of their roles in maintaining AS9100D compliance. Performance Monitoring Maintain and reportquality KPIs , including audit results, NCRs, OTD, and customer satisfaction. Identify trends and propose continual improvement actions. Continuous Improvement Drive process improvement initiatives using tools such as 5 Whys, FMEA, and PDCA. Support risk management and operational risk assessment activities per Clause 6.1.Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or related discipline. Minimum5 yearsof experience in a quality or compliance role within theaerospace industry . In-depth knowledge ofAS9100DandISO 9001:2015standards. Experience withinternal auditinganddocument control systems . Proficiency inMS OfficeandQMS software tools . Certification asAS9100 Internal AuditororLead Auditorpreferred.
