Job purpose:

Support the functions of IT Asset Management which includes discovery and manual tracking of hardware inventory (IT Asset Register) and security reporting for all Metro Legal Units including inventory of all devices in the Network IP range and mapping each device as per their hostname & device type with close collaboration with the Metro legal units/company code.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities -

  • interface to various local IT groups to discover & inventory of Hardware assets for each legal unit across Metro.
  • knowledge of hardware inventory discovery courses
  • Reporting of Hardware devices
  • the case of an audit (internal of external), needs to gather and analyse appropriate inventory data.
  • of Asset management system (USU) to run reports will be an advantage.
  • the development of new systems and tools to automate asset management.
  • the efficient use of hardware assets on a global basis.
  • related to software licensing will be an advantage.
  • contractual and legal compliance.
  • customers by ensuring the necessary levels of support
  • new services and expanded capabilities on IT Asset Management tool.
  • Develops and maintains IT Asset Management tool service.

Managerial Requirements/Required functional skills -

Functional Expert (SME)

  • years of experience in asset management (Hardware/IT Security)
  • technical skills and background
  • in ITAM USU Tool (also known as Aspera Smart Track Tool) will be added advantage.
  • communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive decision-making.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions and formulas to create customized reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to IT asset management.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive IT asset management policies, procedures, and documentation in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Additional education required unique to this job:
  • Training and Practice in ITIL Foundations, ITIL SAM best practice and ISO19770 (practitioner in Change, Release, Configuration and Financial management will be an advantage)
  • SAM and HAM knowledge, CITAM / CSAM / CHAMP certification will be an added advantage.
