Consultant / Sr. Consultant - Research and Consulting About the Company Axience is a professional business services firm, established with a credo of delivering “Integrated Bespoke Solutions” for our clientsWe provide high quality bespoke and boutique-style financial and business research services and have established ourselves as a well-regarded research firm delivering value-added and complex work to a strong client base, through a highly capable analyst and management teamOur main office is located in Mumbai (India), along with small capabilities in Dubai (UAE) and Canada (Toronto) The Role and Responsibilities A Consultant / Sr Consultant at Axience is hired typically as a graduate/post graduate or from industry with maximum of 2-5 years of experience. They work on basic market and strategic research. Detailed responsibilities may include (but not limited to):Be a part of the team working on various research projects aiding decision making for reputable large and medium sized global corporates, consultancies and financial services firms and be exposed to a truly global professional standardUnderstand research objectives, design partial or full research strategies, interpret and analyse information for accuracy, exhaustiveness and applicabilityWork on projects ranging from market entry study, opportunity assessment, competitive landscape, target/supplier identification & benchmarking, newsletters, company profiles, etc.Collecting data & information from public domain and through telephonic interviews with related industry participantsMapping industry professionals and their background to build analytical insights and for primary interviewsUnderstanding, analysing and presenting the data and information gathered in almost client ready format in Word, Excel, PowerPointIndependently finishes assigned sections of a projectMaintains a self-quality control checklist of work done and produces error free outputWorking on internal initiatives such as case studies, samples and mapping clients for presalesDesired Academic and professional background Management post graduates from Top/ Tier 1 institutes/universities (with Engineering background preferred)Upper quartile academic performance across all levels of educationo Top 10 in the class throughout academic career o In top 25% of top 10-degree college of India (in that category)o Proven record of being a leader in sports or other extracurricular activities o Any other qualities which clearly differentiates the candidate from othersOn professional/career front, top 10% performer in their respective work experienceShould have highly developed and demonstrable research and analytical skill setExperience on working on ad-hoc projects as offered only dedicated analyst can be considered if from KPO industry/ Axience peersPlease DO NOT apply if you do not fulfil the above criteriaRequired skills Excellent oral and written communication skills (English) Strong analytical skills with focus on efficiency and qualityProficiency in working on databases and, excellent MS Office and Excel skillsAttention to detail and curiosityStrong project structuring skills, secondary and primary market research skillsAbility to survive in fast pace environment sometime working on slightly vague instructions from clients and senior managementWorked on ad-hoc projects across industries during MBA and during professional careerUnderstanding about analytical modelling skills such as regression analysis, financial ratio analysis, etc.
