Senior Back-End Developer (JS) We are looking for a seasoned and focusedSenior Back-End Developerto take ownership of the critical server-side architecture and services for our Cybersecurity SaaS platform. This role is highly concentrated onNode.jsback-end development, secure API design, and database management. While your primary focus is the server, you must have strong working knowledge of theReact.js/Next.jsfront-end ecosystem to ensure seamless integration and performance of our services.Key ResponsibilitiesAPI & Core Services Development (Back-End Focus) ⚙️Node.js Mastery:Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable, secure, and resilient back-end services usingNode.jsand frameworks like Express.js or NestJS. API Development:Lead the development and evolution of secure, high-performanceRESTful APIs(and/or GraphQL) that power all web and mobile clients. System Architecture:Contribute to architectural decisions for our microservices, focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, and latency optimization. Security & Compliance:Implement and rigorously enforce robust authentication (e.g.,JWT, OAuth ), authorization, data encryption, and security protocols vital for a cybersecurity product.Database & Data ManagementData Modeling:Expertly design, manage, and optimize complex database schemas usingPostgreSQL(preferred) and NoSQL databases likeMongoDB . Performance:Implement advanced caching solutions ( Redis ) and tune database queries to handle large volumes of traffic with speed.Front-End Integration & CollaborationIntegration Point:Work closely with the front-end team (who useReact.jsandNext.js ) to define API contracts, troubleshoot integration issues, and ensure efficient data fetching patterns. Next.js Support:Understand how the Next.js framework utilizes the back-end (e.g., API routes, server-side data fetching) to build optimal server responses. Testing & CI/CD:Write extensive unit and integration tests for all back-end services. Participate in maintaining and improving theCI/CD pipelineandDocker/Kubernetesdeployments.Non-Negotiable RequirementsExperience:4+ yearsof dedicated professional experience in server-side/back-end development. Core Language:Expert proficiency inJavaScript (ES6+)and theNode.jsruntime environment. Database Expertise:Proven experience with both relational ( PostgreSQLor MySQL) and NoSQL ( MongoDB ) databases, including complex query optimization. API Design:Demonstrated ability to architect and implement secure, scalableRESTful APIsfrom scratch. Front-End Awareness:Strong practical understanding ofReact.jsprinciples and experience working on an application utilizing theNext.jsframework.Highly Desired Expertise (A Strong Advantage)Experience withTypeScriptfor large-scale back-end applications. Hands-on experience withDockerand cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure, or GCP ). Experience in a highly secureCybersecurity or regulated SaaSenvironment. Familiarity with message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
