We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to manage and maintain our company's Linux systems and network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Linux operating systems, networking protocols, and WiFi standards, along with strong scripting abilities.
This role involves ensuring system reliability, performance, and security, while also supporting various networking and wireless technologies.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and related hardware.
Network Management: Configure and manage network services including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
WiFi Administration: Implement and manage WiFi networks, ensuring compatibility with standards such as 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax.
Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts in Python and Bash to automate tasks and improve system efficiency.
Monitoring and Performance: Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal system functionality.
Security Management: Implement security measures, perform regular audits, and ensure compliance with security policies.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to Linux systems and network infrastructure.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and network diagrams.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in Linux operating systems (e.g, CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Understanding of WiFi standards and configurations Skills:
- Strong scripting abilities in Python and Bash.
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex system and network Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to document procedures and configurations clearly and Proven experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role.
- Familiarity with network security practices and tools.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g, Nagios, Zabbix) and configuration management tools (e.g, Ansible, Relevant certifications (e.g RHCE, CompTIA Linux+, Cisco CCNA) are a plus
