Senior ETL Tester

Key Responsibilities :- Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes and data flows, including data validation, transformation, and reconciliation between source and target systems.- Write and execute complex SQL queries to verify large volumes of data across various systems.- Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business and functional requirements.- Execute various types of testing, including functional, regression, system integration, and data integrity testing.- Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with development and data teams for resolution.- Collaborate with ETL developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify data flows.- Contribute to the automation of data testing processes where applicable.- Provide detailed test status updates and participate in defect triage meetings.Required Skills & Qualifications :- 3 to 9 years of hands-on experience in ETL / Data Warehouse testing.- Strong experience in data validation, transformation, and reconciliation.- Proficient in writing and executing complex SQL queries for large data sets.- Working knowledge of at least one ETL tool such as : Informatica, IBM DataStage, Talend, or similar.- Experience in functional, regression, and system integration testing within a data environment.- Exposure to reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Cognos) is a plus.- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and data modeling.- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.Nice to Have :- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery).- Familiarity with test automation frameworks for data/ETL pipelines.- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA or TestRail.- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
