This role will work with the business data stewards and the IT application engineers to ensure that our master data is managed efficiently and safely. . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS Architect, build and test master data models and processes that support business rules defined for the maintenance of master data using Informatica or other technologies that operate as a single source of truth. Implement approval workflows, data quality rules, verification logic, matching and survivorship logic, and work with application engineers to synchronize to operating systems. Collaborate with the Data Governance team and Business Data Stewards to identify gaps in the management of master data and propose solutions to improve processes. Lead the design sessions and validation of the solution with the business stakeholders and IT teams. Manage the maintenance of existing master and reference data solutions, ensuring accuracy of existing functionality, identification of new enhancements to the solution, and resolution of any production problems identified. Implement proactive metrics to monitor the health of MDM solutions. Manage all reporting hierarchies used within the enterprise, establishing a single source of truth and business ownership, and designing potential solutions using the MDM technology. Work with the business data stewards to ensure compliance with data governance policies. Evaluate, propose and architect 3rd party data sources to support the maintenance of master data (geographic, address, email, etc. standards) into new and existing MDM solutions. PROFESSIONAL SKILLSET QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field required. Equivalent professional experience will be accepted in lieu of degree. 5+ years’ experience designing, building and maintaining MDM solutions using MDM technologies. Hands-on design and data modelling experience with an MDM technology, preferably Informatica. Capacity to work with large amounts of data, extract relevant information and draw logical conclusions. Strong verbal and written communications skills to effectively share findings with stakeholders and IT associates. Candidate must have an open mind when it comes to approaching and be able to assess each situation separately. Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight. Candidate should have an analytical mindset with the ability to analyze problems from different perspectives and use creativity to solve problems and proactively recommend solutions. Ability to pay attention to detail when working with data to make accurate conclusions and predications. Fast, adaptable learner who can hit the ground running. Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism. Must be able to collaborate closely with a team at times, while also being capable of holding themselves accountable to meet individual deadlines with minimal supervision.
