Over the past 15 years, Hourglass Research has been consistently chosen by Fortune 500 firms for their US patent drafting and analytics assignments.Role Overview : As an Associate/ Senior Associate, you will: work with some of the leading technology corporations and technology experts, and assist them in preparing patent portfolios work on cutting-edge technologies and hand-in-hand with inventors to protect inventions get an opportunity toidentify problemsand strive to resolve the same byindependent thinking assist clients worldwide by delivering high quality and strategic servicesJob description (Patent Prosecution): US/EP/IN patent prosecution for some of the marquee technology companies in the field of Electronics and Computer Science, with a special focus on Emerging Technologies (Electric Vehicles, AI, ML, Deep Tech, etc.) Analyze Office Actions and build a strategy Ensure smooth execution of simultaneous multiple project deliveries Carry out critical individual assignments as well as mentor junior team members Client interaction: Participate in client calls, discuss prosecution strategies, and assist and troubleshoot problems on-call with clientsDesired Skillset: Knowledge of USPTO, EPO, and Indian Patent Office guidelines and case laws Ability to quickly understand and grasp complex/cutting-edge technologies within hi-tech including VLSI, Semiconductor, Emerging Technology (EVs, AI, ML, blockchain, deeptech, etc.), Telecom (LTE/4G and beyond) Excellent written and verbal communication[an absolute must] Desire to deliver the best work product within set timelines Ability to think independently and in a team to understand problems & suggest solutionsEducation/Experience: Bachelors/Masters in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, or Computer Science IP Experience : 1-4 years in patent prosecutionHourglass provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
