About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated candidate with a background in Neuroscience/Data Science/Computer Science to join our interdisciplinary research team. The assignment focuses on the intersectionality of mental health and socio-economic factors. The ideal candidate will have a strong computational background, particularly using machine learning in the analysis of EEG and MRI data, and a keen interest in exploring how mental health influences socio-economic conditions and vice versa. Background in Neuroscience will be viewed Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, including neuroscientists, psychologists, sociologists, economists and data science experts;
- Analyse EEG and MRI data to study brain activity and structures related to mental health conditions;
- Develop and implement experimental protocols and data analysis methodologies;
- Build machine learning models based on the data;
- Interpret and present research findings in scientific meetings, journals, and other academic forums;
- Contribute to the development of new research hypotheses and projects based on data findings;
- Assist in the preparation of research reports, grant applications, and publications.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or holding a PhD in Neuroscience/Data Science/Computer Science or a related field. Candidates with a Master's degree and relevant experience are also welcome to apply;
- Strong background in Neuroscience, particularly in the analysis of EEG and MRI data;
- Experience with Python and R packages (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, MNE) related to neuroimaging and statistical analysis tools. Experience with high-performance computing is a plus;
- Understanding of socio-economic factors and mental health;
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly;
- A strong record of academic achievement and research experience.
