General Summary:


We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Technical Lead - Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Python, PySpark, and AWS technologies (specifically Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda, and EMR). Knowledge of .NET, C#, and Angular is advantageous but not mandatory.



Roles & Responsibilities:



  1. Lead and manage a team by effectively allocating tasks based on individual strengths and project requirements. Ensure optimal productivity and balanced workloads to achieve project goals.
  2. Provide clear implementation guidance to the team, leveraging technical expertise to address and resolve any obstacles or blockers promptly. Maintain project momentum and ensure technical issues are efficiently handled.
  3. Spearhead the design and planning phases for both ongoing and upcoming projects. Align project designs with business goals, ensure thorough documentation, and secure stakeholder approval.
  4. Oversee the support team’s operations, ensuring no major issues are ongoing. Provide hands-on assistance to resolve critical challenges effectively and in a timely manner.
  5. Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration with global teams. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned and maintain transparency across all levels of the project.
  6. Demonstrate a deep understanding of data and data engineering concepts to guide the team effectively in data-centric projects.
  7. Design and architect robust, scalable, and efficient solutions that meet the project requirements and business goals.
  8. Exhibit strong technical skills to lead by example and mentor team members. Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and best practices.
  9. Review code to ensure it meets high-quality standards and implement effective coding standards across the team to maintain consistency and reliability.
  10. Act as a hands-on leader, actively participating in coding and development tasks to guide the team and ensure project success.



Qualifications:


  1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. 10+ years of relevant experience in software development and team leadership.
  3. Strong background in AWS, Python, PySpark, and optionally .NET, C#, and Angular.
  4. Extensive experience with AWS services, including Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda, and EMR.
  5. Proven ability to lead and manage a technical team.
  6. Experience in task allocation and workload balancing to optimize team productivity.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide clear technical guidance.
  8. Capability to quickly address and resolve technical issues to maintain project momentum.
  9. Experience in leading project design and strategic planning phases.
  10. Ability to align projects with business objectives and secure stakeholder approval.
  11. Ability to oversee support operations and manage issue resolution effectively.
  12. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with global teams.
  13. Commitment to maintaining transparency and alignment among all project stakeholders.
