About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE-3) to join our Data Platform team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data solutions, internal tools, and automation systems that power both our data infrastructure and cross-functional business operations.

Must-Have Skills and Experience:


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field


• 5+ years of professional software development experience


• Strong proficiency in Python programming language


• Experience with web frameworks (FastAPI or Django)


• Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL


• Experience with frontend frameworks (Vue.js or React)


• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)


• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines


• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)


• Experience with version control systems (Git)


• Solid understanding of system design principles and architectural patterns


• Experience with API design and RESTful services


• Knowledge of software design patterns and SOLID principles


• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills


• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Good to Have:


• Experience with web scraping frameworks (Scrapy or Beautifulsoup)


• Experience with browser automation frameworks (Selenium or Playwright)


• Experience with distributed systems


• Familiarity with big data frameworks and technologies


• Experience with message queuing systems (SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ)


• Knowledge of observability tools (ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana)


• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)


• Familiarity with event-driven architectures

Key Responsibilities:


• Design and implement scalable backend services using Python


• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI or Django


• Contribute to frontend development using modern JavaScript frameworks


• Participate in the full software development lifecycle


• Work with database design and optimization


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams


• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines


• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code


• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews


• Contribute to technical design discussions and architecture decisions


• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues


• Drive technical improvements and refactoring initiatives


• Document technical designs and maintain system documentation


• Build and maintain internal tools for various business functions (Operations, Finance, Sourcing teams)


• Create automated solutions for business process optimization


• Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and pain points


• Provide technical support and maintenance for internal tools


• Optimize existing workflows and processes through automation

About the Team:

You'll be joining our Data Platform team, working on critical data infrastructure and solutions that power our company's data-driven decisions. The team focuses on building robust, scalable systems that handle large volumes of data efficiently, while also developing and maintaining crucial internal tools that drive operational efficiency across the organization. Our solutions directly impact the productivity and effectiveness of various business functions including Operations, Finance, and Sourcing teams.
