Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Merchandising: Implement plans tailored to the woven segment to achieve divisional objectives and sales targets.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality woven garments.
- Negotiation and Cost Optimization: Negotiate pricing agreements and monitor production costs to optimize profitability while maintaining product quality standards.
- Raw Materials Management: Responsible for releasing and controlling raw materials for production.
- Quality Control: Authorize all Garment/Fabric testing.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Interact with production, design, fabrics & accessories, sourcing, production, quality control, shipping, and accounts departments to ensure synchronization in the process of customer delight.
- New Order Builds and Trade Calendar Planning: Coordinate with buyers on new order builds and assisted in trade calendar planning.
- Pricing Management: Maintain pricing in line with brand and business guidelines for each country.
- Reporting and Analytics: Developed and optimized excel reporting structures and processes for efficient and timely team execution on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
- Production Planning: Factory and production managers to plan production to achieve the T&A.
- Order Fulfillment: Follow-up buyer order requirements carefully
- Sample Management: Follow-up PP sample/Development sample/shipment sample carefully
- Production Line Monitoring: Follow-up production line report every day
- Shipping and Logistics: Provided shipping instructions and diligently followed up on shipments.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with Vendors in the garment segment, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and fostering long-term partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Merchandising, Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in merchandising, product development, or related roles within the woven industry .
- Proven track record of success in driving product innovation, managing supplier relationships, and achieving sales targets within the woven segment.
- Proficiency in software and tools, ERP systems, WFX and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a keen understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior specific to the woven industry.
