Lead - Commercial-Civil Procurement


Job Description:

- To check BOQ, float the tender, get the quotations and negotiate with the Vendors for Civil and Finishing items

- Check the BOQ for its correctness and completeness as per tender / GFC drawings and get the RFI's closed

- Float the tender to respective vendors as per approved vendor list.

- Co-ordinate with vendors for submission of quotes online / offline.

- Do internal rate analysis / zero cost analysis

- Negotiate with the vendors on the rates

- Compare rates of various vendors along with ASL rates and make comparative for committee approval.

- Identify RMC vendors for the upcoming site locations.

- Collect local site data including local rates

- Get design mix approval from design team.

- Make RMC rate analysis and negotiate with RMC vendor.

- Check Extra / Excess quantity during Closure and present the rates for approval.

- Skills :Analytical and mathematical skills, Communication, co-ordination, interpersonal, excellent negotiation and administrative skills

Task To Accomplish To Fulfill The Role:


- Ensures that the processes are being followed for execution of work

- Addresses the queries raised by the stake holders

- Co-ordinate with various departments for fast resolution of issues

- Reviews the scope of work received from internal teams (bill of quantities, specifications), verify the rates from market/Analysis and negotiate with vendor, if necessary.

- Manages correspondence - contractual (e.g. drafting replies, etc.) with internal as well as external clients

- Able to work seamlessly on various software required for smooth functioning of the department like Work, Spread Sheets, Presentation Slides, SAP etc.

- Prepares the budget sheet for packages within time line for approval by approval committee.

- Manages escalations from internal and external stakeholders and seeks to get an agreeable solution

- Focuses on self - development by being updated with the latest trends in the construction industry through interaction with business experts, vendors, etc.

- Prepares proposal doc and report for introducing new vendors & products for better quality of project deliverables at the best prices possible

Candidate Profile :

- 18 to 25 years experience of contract / commercial function of which at least 2 years in a senior position.

- Has good technical knowledge of Civil works.

- Has Fair knowledge of design mix and quality aspects of steel and RMC.

- Very Good analytical Skills and commercial acumen.

- Good negotiation Skills.

- Good interpersonal Skills.

- Honest and with high integrity.

- Good presentation Skills.

- Academic Qualification: BE/BTech Civil

- Technical Skills: Quantity surveying, Contract drafting, change order management.

- Other Skills - High command over English language. Good drafting Skills. Level headed, patient (ref:iimjobs.com)
