Job Overview:


We are seeking a skilled and analytical Credit Risk Analyst to join our Analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics and risk assessment. The Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of potential customers, monitoring the credit risk of existing customers, and developing strategies to mitigate potential credit losses.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Utilize statistical models and data analytics tools to predict credit risk and assess the impact of economic changes on credit risk.
  • Develop and enhance credit risk and underwriting models and scorecards.
  • Continuously monitor the credit risk of existing customers and develop strategies to manage exposure.
  • Develop model documentation and work with model risk management to implement credit risk models and scorecards.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers.
  • Generate reports and presentations outlining credit risk, and mitigation strategies for management review.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, model risk management, operations, and compliance.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continually enhance fraud prevention strategies.


Skills Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, computer science or related field. Master’s degree or certifications in fraud examination or risk management is a plus.
  • 3+ years of proven data analytics experience in Model development, risk management, or a related field.
  • Hands- on experience in Python/Pyspark, SQL, visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview.
  • Experience in US Banking domain only.
  • Great communication skills
  • Experience with risk models, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset toward problem solving and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
