Lead Power BI Architect

Role Overview :

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Architect to lead the design, development, and management of our business intelligence solutions. This role is crucial for ensuring our data strategies are robust, scalable, and directly aligned with our business goals. You will be the technical authority for our Power BI ecosystem, driving best practices, optimizing performance, and staying at the forefront of the latest platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Solution Architecture & Design :


- Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of complex Power BI solutions, from data source to final report.

- Define and enforce enterprise-wide data architecture and governance strategies tailored to specific business needs, ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of all BI solutions.

- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into actionable and efficient technical designs.

Capacity & Performance Management :

- Proactively monitor and manage Power BI service capacities, particularly within Premium and Fabric workspaces, to optimize resource allocation and prevent performance degradation.

- Develop and implement strategies for capacity planning and cost management within the Power BI service.

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks in reports, datasets, and data refresh pipelines.

- Establish and maintain performance benchmarks and best practices for the entire Power BI ecosystem.

Deployment & Production Oversight :

- Oversee the entire deployment lifecycle, ensuring a secure and controlled transition of reports and datasets from development to production environments.

- Manage deployment pipelines and implement robust version control strategies to maintain code integrity and traceability.

- Define and execute comprehensive validation and testing procedures to ensure production readiness, accuracy, and reliability of all BI assets.

Technology Leadership & Innovation :

- Act as the subject matter expert on all things Power BI, including feature releases, roadmap updates, and industry best practices.

- Continuously evaluate and implement new Power BI and related Azure data services features to enhance our BI ecosystem and provide a competitive advantage.

- Mentor and guide junior developers and analysts on Power BI best practices, performance optimization, and data modeling techniques.
