As a leading outsourcing partner, we are hiring a Senior Java Backend Developer to work on a project for our client, who is the largest provider of telecoms and mobile money services in 14 countries spanning Sub-Saharan, Central, and Western Africa.

Job Details :

Experience required : 5-7 years of relevant experience in core Java.

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Location : Gurugram (WFO).

Notice Period : Immediate to 15 days (Candidates with a notice period of less than 30 days are preferred).

Mandatory Skills : Core Java, Springboot, Microservices, Data Structure & Algorithms.

Note : As part of the pre-screening process, candidates must attend the HackerRank Test to have their technical skills evaluated. Without the assessment test, the candidate will not be considered further.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend services using Java.

- Develop RESTful APIs for seamless integration with front-end applications and other services.

- Implement microservices architecture using Spring Boot and related technologies.

- Optimize code for performance and maintainability.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Design and implement both monolithic and microservices architectures based on project requirements.

- Contribute to architectural discussions and design decisions.

- Ensure the scalability and maintainability of backend systems.

- Design and implement database schemas for SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Write efficient SQL queries and manage database interactions.

- Optimize database performance.

- Version Control and CI/CD

- Utilize Git and BitBucket for version control.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

- Ensure smooth and efficient deployment of backend services.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to backend systems.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations.

- Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

- Participate in agile development processes and contribute to team discussions.

Required Skills :

- 5-7 years of experience in core Java development.

- Strong understanding of Java fundamentals and best practices.

- Proficiency in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.

- Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.

- Strong understanding of microservices architecture.

- Hands-on experience in developing and deploying microservices using Spring Boot.

- Experience with Git and BitBucket for version control.

- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Nice to Have :

- Knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with Kafka for message queuing.

- Experience with Redis for caching.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).

- Knowledge of security best practices for backend development.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 5-7 years of experience in Java backend development.

- Proven experience in developing and maintaining robust and scalable backend services.

- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Must be able to join within a reasonable timeframe.
