Job Description for Business Analyst - Sales and Distribution (S/4 HANA)

Role : Business Analyst - Sales and Distribution

Experience Required : 3 to 4 Years

Location : Hyderabad, Banjara Hills

Work Type : Work from Office (6 Days a Week)

Payroll : Canarys Full-Time Employee (FTE)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with 3 to 4 years of experience in the Sales and Distribution (SD) module and expertise in SAP S/4 HANA. The ideal candidate should have participated in at least one S/4 HANA implementation project and possess strong business process knowledge in the Sales and Distribution domain. The role requires working from the Hyderabad office and involves analyzing business requirements, configuring SAP SD solutions, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Process Analysis :

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business processes and requirements in the Sales and Distribution domain.

- Identify gaps between business requirements and SAP SD standard functionality and propose solutions.

2. SAP Configuration and Implementation :

- Configure and customize the SAP SD module to meet business needs.

- Implement Sales Order Management, Pricing, Billing, Shipping, and Logistics Execution processes in S/4 HANA.

- Ensure integration with other modules such as MM, FI/CO, and PP.

3. S/4 HANA Implementation :

- Participate in at least one end-to-end SAP S/4 HANA implementation project.

- Work on system conversions or greenfield implementations, including migration of master data and transactional data.

4. Testing and Validation :

- Develop and execute test cases to validate the configuration and data flow.

- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and address any issues or changes requested by users.

5. Documentation :

- Prepare functional specifications for custom developments.

- Document configurations, test results, and training materials for end-users.

6. Support and Maintenance :

- Provide post-implementation support for issue resolution and enhancements.

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot errors in the SD module.

7. Stakeholder Communication :

- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.

- Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Experience :

- 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD).

- At least one end-to-end implementation of SAP S/4 HANA SD module is mandatory.

2. Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in SAP SD components such as Sales Order Processing, Pricing, Billing, and Shipping.

- Strong knowledge of S/4 HANA functionalities, Fiori Apps, and CDS Views.

- Integration experience with modules such as MM, FI/CO, and PP.

- Familiarity with EDI, IDOCs, and other interfacing technologies.

3. Business Skills :

- Strong understanding of Sales and Distribution business processes, including order-to-cash cycle.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to propose process improvements.

4. Tools and Technologies :

- Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and ASAP framework.

- Hands-on experience with LSMW, BAPIs, and user exits.

5. Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong documentation and presentation abilities.

- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications :


- SAP Certification in Sales and Distribution on S/4 HANA.

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Experience with third-party tools like Salesforce or CRM integrations.
