Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Solution Architect with significant experience in migrating SAP systems to AWS cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AWS services, SAP architecture, and best practices for migrating, optimizing, and securing SAP workloads in the cloud. This role requires expertise in designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions for SAP migration projects and a strong ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP Migration Strategy & Planning :

- Lead the end-to-end migration of SAP workloads (e.g., SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC) from on-premises environments to AWS cloud.

- Design and implement migration roadmaps, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless transitions from legacy systems to AWS.

- Define cloud adoption strategies for SAP applications and align them with business objectives.

AWS Solution Design :

- Design and implement robust AWS-based architectures for SAP environments, utilizing AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, AWS Direct Connect, and more.

- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability for SAP solutions in AWS.

- Collaborate with SAP teams to design and optimize the underlying architecture, including network design, security, and database solutions on AWS.

Cloud Migration Execution :

- Oversee the migration of SAP landscapes to AWS, utilizing tools such as AWS Migration Hub, AWS Launch Wizard, SAP Cloud Appliance Library (CAL), and SAP HANA on EC2.

- Perform technical assessments and proof-of-concept (PoC) evaluations to validate migration approaches and ensure the feasibility of SAP migration on AWS.

- Provide hands-on guidance to teams for executing the migration, resolving issues, and optimizing processes.

Optimization & Cost Management :

- Apply cost optimization techniques to ensure the solution is efficient and cost-effective while maintaining high performance for SAP workloads in the cloud.

- Continuously monitor, evaluate, and optimize performance, reliability, and cost of SAP workloads in AWS, leveraging tools such as AWS Cost Explorer and CloudWatch.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :

- Collaborate with SAP functional teams, business stakeholders, and AWS teams to gather requirements and design tailored cloud solutions for SAP applications.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members and guide clients on AWS best practices.

- Lead technical workshops and client presentations to explain AWS solutions, architectures, and migration plans.

Security and Compliance :

- Ensure that SAP workloads in AWS adhere to industry standards and security best practices (e.g., encryption, identity and access management, etc.).

- Work with internal security teams to ensure SAP environments are compliant with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.

Post-Migration Support :

- Provide ongoing post-migration support to ensure the smooth operation of SAP environments on AWS.

- Help with troubleshooting issues, applying patches, and continuously improving the SAP workloads post-migration.

Required Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience :

- 5+ years of experience as an AWS Solutions Architect with a strong focus on SAP migration projects.

- Proven track record of migrating SAP environments (including SAP HANA, S/4HANA, ECC, etc.) to AWS.

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.

- In-depth experience with SAP on AWS, including using AWS Launch Wizard for SAP and SAP HANA on EC2.

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in AWS architecture design, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization for SAP workloads.

- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Appliance Library (CAL), SAP Migration Factory, and other tools for SAP cloud migrations.

- Proficiency in database management and optimization, including SAP HANA, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

- Understanding of cloud security and compliance best practices for SAP environments.

Certifications :

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (required).

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (preferred).

- SAP Certified Technology Associate or SAP Certified Application Associate (a plus).

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to resolve complex technical challenges.

- Leadership experience in guiding teams through cloud migrations and optimization projects.
