Overview: We are looking for an experienced Automation Testing Engineer with over 7 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing. The ideal candidate will be proficient in automation testing with hands-on experience in Selenium and exposure to Calypso. Overall Responsibilities

Automation Testing:

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium to ensure the quality and reliability of applications.
  • Create and maintain automation frameworks to enhance test coverage and execution efficiency.

  • Testing Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to develop comprehensive testing strategies for various applications.
  • Identify areas for automation and define best practices for automation testing processes.

  • Integration with Calypso:

  • Utilize Calypso for testing financial applications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality within the application ecosystem.
  • Conduct testing related to trade life cycle management, risk assessment, and compliance features within the Calypso platform.

  • Defect Identification and Reporting:

  • Identify, document, and track defects, providing detailed reports on testing outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to process improvements within the testing lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automation testing tools and methodologies.

Category-wise Technical Skills

  • Automation Testing Proficiency: Strong expertise in automation testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Selenium Experience: Hands-on experience with Selenium, including the creation of test scripts and framework development.
  • Calypso Exposure: Familiarity with Calypso or similar financial applications, particularly in the context of quality assurance.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation.
  • Experience with test management tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Proven ability to work in complex testing environments, particularly within financial services.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium based on project requirements.
  • Review and analyze system specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand application functionality and gather requirements for testing.
  • Maintain and update existing automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Regularly report on testing progress and outcomes, including defect tracking and resolution.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss testing strategies, challenges, and improvements.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve complex issues swiftly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear updates and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
