Job Description: Trade Spend / Rebate Operations Lead.

Location: India.

Department: Product & Client Delivery.

Reports to: Head of Finance Transformation.

Our mission is to help large enterprises recover lost margin, reduce disputes, and strengthen compliance in areas such as rebates, trade promotions, and finance reconciliation.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Trade Spend / Rebate Operations Lead (ideally with a background in CPG or Retail) to act as the domain authority within our organization.

This individual will:

- Partner with CFOs and finance leaders to translate rebate and trade spend challenges into business outcomes.

- Guide internal product, AI, and operations teams to ensure solutions align with the real-world complexities of promotions, deductions, and claims.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the subject matter expert in rebate and trade spend operations.

- Translate contracts and rebate terms into operational pain points recognized by CFOs.

- Define requirements for automation of rebate logic (tiers, thresholds, accruals, FX).

- Build best practices for reconciliation, deduction validation, and exception handling.

- Provide audit-ready frameworks to meet finance and compliance requirements.

- Support client delivery teams and enable thought leadership in the 8 to12 years in CPG, Retail, or related industries, with deep exposure to trade spend, deductions, and rebate management.

- Hands-on experience with rebate agreements, claims validation, and finance operations.

- Familiarity with ERP (SAP, Oracle), TPM tools (Exceedra, Blacksmith, Aforza), and CLM systems.

- Strong understanding of the P&L impact of rebates, accruals, and working capital.

- Excellent communication skills to bridge finance operations and CFO-level discussions.

- Ex-CPG trade spend manager, rebate operations director, or retail finance lead.

- Someone who has lived the pain of rebate leakage, deductions, and manual processes, and wants to fix it with technology.

- Trusted advisor personality with credibility across finance and compliance teams.
