Role & responsibilities:

Job Summary: The Sr. Manager of Account Payables P2P leads and manages the P2P function including the management of Procurement Operations and Accounts Payable teams.

People Manager : Yes

- Provide leadership, guidance, and subject matter expertise to the company with regards to Account & finance and P2P services.

- Partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Accounting, Tax, Finance, and Legal) to support stakeholders effectively.

- P2P process engineering, requirements definition, process analysis and design, workflow analysis, and develop as-is and to-be business processes.

- Develop and maintain P2P policies & procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to accomplish work predictably and efficiently.

- Drive use of P2P technology and automation tools to improve workload management and efficiency of service delivery.

- Ensure the transmission of data from P2P systems and tools to General Ledger is accurate and timely.

- Oversee the accounts payable department and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports

- Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures

- Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations

- Monitor and analyze accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices

- Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices

- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and vendor performance metrics

- Train and develop accounts payable staff, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations

- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for accounts payable

- Assist with audits and provide Skills -


- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- 4 to 5 years of team management experience.

- 10+ years experience in AP, O2C, R2R, P2P.

- Strong experience vendor master data.

Desired Skills :-

- Understand and demonstrate knowledge of Accounts and Finance Function ( P2P, )

- Primary role will be Procure to Pay (skill set should be min 8 on 10).

- Vendor master, Invoice processing, Controls in AP, Centre of excellence - Thought to build COE, Exposure in building SLA and KPI (ref:iimjobs.com)
