Specialist/Senior Specialist - Electric Vehicle-Vehicle Manufacturing Quality

Reports to

Sr.Technologist

Job Purpose

The incumbent will lead in activities Vehicle Assembly Product confirmation and process validation activities to achieve Quality conformity , New product validation and Quality system establishment , Achieve Quality metrics through problem solving and analysis of internal and external quality concerns.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To establish Final Pre Delivery inspection of vehicles
  • To perform Product inspection activities Wheel alignment ,Dynamometer and road testing activities , Electrical function check out testing activities 
  • To establish process confirmation activities Process ,Torque , Poka Yoke , Fixture , calibration , Material handling audits.
  • To achieve product quality metrics through inhouse process and part related defect reduction 
  • To achieve customer satisfaction targets through field issues , Warranty and Dealer pdi defect reduction and issues resolution 
  • New product and process validation prove out through Initial quality assessment , to achieve new product quality gate scores 
  • To ensure inspector skill matrix meeting standard through manpower training and skill enhancement
  • To achieve quality metrics through problem solving methodology and analysis 
  • To establish Process validation through PPAP , FMEA , MSA , SPC , Calibration activities 
  • To prepare Quality control Process Chart for models wise
  • To ensure product conformity to achieve Homologation requirement 
  • To conduct Design change and process change tryouts validation and ensure Management of Change process
  • To Coordinate continuous improvement Kaizens and Small Group Activities ( SGA ) projects 
  • To ensure product requirement for international markets standards , specification nad homologation standards
  • To conduct BOM audit validations , SAP approvals and quality clearance activities 
  • To adhere and ensure Rejection and concession management control in product 
  • To adhere IMS requirement and prove out process for Certification audits
  • To map KPI metrics and cascading activities to achieve targets
  • To map and optimize Budget , Manpower , Cost saving initiatives 




Work Experience

Education

B.E Mechanical/Electrical /Automobile or equivalent


Experience

  • 3 to 13 years of hands-on experience in Vehicle Quality Function for OEMs, tier-1 automotive suppliers
  • Expertise in Electrical / Vehicle manufacturing Quality function 
  • Proficiency in Vehicle process and product validations
  • Expertise in New product establishment process
  • Expertise in Vehicle Evaluation & End of line Quality process
  • Expertise in DOE / 8D / QC TOOLS problem solving methodology , 
  • Candidates should have hands-on experience on Quality Standard documentations PFD / QCPC / FMEA /JES etc
  • Candidates should have strong knowledge on Design and drawing validations , SOP manual and check sheet evaluations
  • Experience in Field issues resolution activities 
  • Expertise in MIS Preparation and man power management
