Senior Frontend Developer

We are hiring a Senior Frontend Developer to build a design system because its the most strategic way to ensure consistency and efficiency across our digital services.

This role isnt just about writing code; it's about creating a single source of truth for our digital solutions.

By building a robust, reusable design system, we will directly accelerate our development teams, allowing them to focus on new features instead of reinventing the wheel.

The work done in this role will be the foundation that helps us scale, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality user experience as we grow.

What You Will Do :

Architectural Development & Core Component Build :

- This is the primary responsibility. You will be spending a significant portion of their day writing high-quality, reusable code to build and refine the foundational components of the design system.

- This includes defining the system's architecture, creating scalable components, and integrating them with the broader application.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership :

- A key part of the role involves direct collaboration with product teams, UI/UX designers, and other engineers.

- The senior developer will lead technical discussions, provide guidance on implementing the design system, and ensure that new features align with the system's standards.

Documentation & System Maintenance :

- To ensure the design system is truly usable, the senior developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining clear, concise documentation for all components.

- This includes writing usage guidelines, API specifications, and examples. They will also handle bug fixes and system updates.

Code Reviews & Mentorship :

- As a senior member, this person will dedicate time to reviewing code from other frontend developers to ensure it meets quality standards and aligns with the design system.

- They will also mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and helping them grow their skills.

Research & Innovation :

- You will be staying current with the latest frontend technologies and trends. This involves researching new tools, experimenting with new techniques, and identifying opportunities to improve the design system for future needs.

What You Bring :

- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience creating and maintaining a reusable Design System from scratch.

- Experience leading development, making architectural decisions and mentoring developers.

- Proven ability to work closely with designers and product teams to translate design concepts into a scalable, functional Design System.

- Strong understanding of design principles and proficiency in tools like Figma and Storybook.

- Experience with design tokens and managing component libraries.

- Expert in React, JavaScript and TypeScript.

- Deep understanding of component-based architecture.

- Strong knowledge of accessibility (WCAG).

- Experience with build tools, Azure DevOps, npm/pnpm, Git, GitHub Copilot and documentation practices.

- Familiar with testing (unit, integration, E2E) and performance optimization.

- Knowledge about Node.js and bundling tools like vite/webpack is a plus.

- Professional English skills, both verbal and written.
