Location : Summary :
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Mainframe Testers to join our remote QA team. As a Mainframe Tester, you will be responsible for validating and verifying mainframe applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and function correctly. This is a great opportunity to work with a global team on enterprise-level systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze business requirements and technical specifications for mainframe applications.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for mainframe systems (e.g., COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS).
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to ensure quality deliverables.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and status reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 3+ years of experience in mainframe testing.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
- Familiarity with batch job testing and data validation.
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to automation tools for mainframe testing (e.g., CA DevTest, IBM RFT).
- ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
Work Schedule :
- Flexible working hours with overlap during IST business hours.
- 40 hours per week (full-time contract).
