Description:

Aascent is looking for Application Engineers (AE) to help empower State Regulators by implementing State Regulatory Platform Suites (SRPS). As an AE, you'll work on customizing, configuring, and deploying these platforms while ensuring high-quality results. You’ll collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other experts to understand customer requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.

Responsibilities:

Develop Applications: -

•                Use a Low Code Platform and Java to create software.

•                Work with developers and QA engineers to improve and fix applications.

•                Analyze customer needs and build solutions that meet requirements.

•                Collaborate with Teams & Clients

Work with project managers and business analysts to ensure software aligns with business goals.

•                Communicate effectively with team members, partners, and clients.

•                Provide support, fix bugs, and add features as needed.

•                Analyze & Optimize Solutions

Understand requirements and troubleshoot issues.

•                Look for ways to make features reusable and configurable.

•                Deliver Quality Software

Use Java, JavaScript, and SQL for application development.

•                Understand databases and write reports using tools like iReport Toolkit.

•                Help deploy software in customer environments.

•                Documentation & Communication

Write technical and non-technical documentation.

•                Answer client questions and provide efficient technical solutions.

•                Testing & Problem Solving

Follow testing procedures to ensure software functions correctly.

•                Troubleshoot and resolve issues.

•                Identify opportunities for automated testing.

•                Innovation

Bring creative solutions to problems.

•                Focus on building modular, reusable components.

•                Explore emerging technologies like Generative AI to enhance solutions.

Requirements & Skills:

·       Web Technologies: JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, HTML/CSS, JSON

·       Back-end Technologies: Core Java

·       Build Tools: Git, Docker

·       Database: PostgreSQL

·       Preferred Skills

·       Experience with tools like Oracle, MS SQL, and SQL Workbench

·       Knowledge of frameworks like ReactJS, AngularJS, and Bootstrap

·       Experience with reporting tools like JasperReport

Applied Experience

·       Experience with SQL, Java, and JavaScript programming.

·       Knowledge of web applications and understanding how relational databases work.

·       Familiarity with J2EE architecture and tools like JBoss, Apache, and Tomcat for deploying applications.

·       Strong analytical skills to understand requirements and create designs.

·       Experience with testing and ensuring software quality.

·       Ability to write reports using tools like iReport Toolkit and create custom JSP pages.

·       Can answer technical questions and write documentation when needed.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·       Experience with workflow, case management, or business process management solutions is a plus.
