Staff/Principal Backend Engineer

Job Description :1. Technical Leadership and Guidance :- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team.- Mentor and coach junior team members to enhance their technical skills.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical strategies and goals.2. System Architecture and Design :- Design and develop scalable and efficient backend systems.- Architect and implement APIs and microservices.- Ensure the system architecture meets high availability and performance requirements.3. Innovation and Continuous Improvement :- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the backend systems.- Drive the adoption of modern technologies and best practices.- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in backend development.4. Project Planning and Execution :- Collaborate with product managers to understand project requirements and priorities.- Participate in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation.- Execute projects in a timely manner, meeting quality standards and deadlines.5. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution :- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in the backend systems.- Perform root cause analysis and implement necessary fixes and enhancements.- Ensure proper monitoring and logging to proactively identify and address issues.6. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams :- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver cohesive solutions.- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality.- Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams for deployment and performance optimization.Requirements :- 8+ years of experience in backend engineering roles.- Strong expertise in Python, Postgres, React, Typescript, and BigQuery.- Proven track record of technical leadership and guidance.- Experience in system architecture and design of scalable solutions.- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.Note : The office location for this role is Bangalore (HSR or Koramangala).
