Design Engineer - Bearing SolutionsEmployment Type: Full Time (6 days a week).Location: Kanpur, IndiaWe are designers and manufacturers of high precision Fluid Film Bearings for use in Turbines, Gearboxes, Compressors and other sophisticated rotating machinery.We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our product engineering team. You will play a key role in conceptualizing and designing high-performance bearings, and optimizing them for performance and durability. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with CAD/CAE tools, and a deep understanding of material selection and manufacturing processes.Responsibilities- Design and develop bearing components and assemblies for a wide range of applications. - Prepare 2D/3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and specifications. - Perform design calculations (load, speed, lubrication etc.) to ensure reliability and performance. - Work with suppliers on material selection and heat treatment. - Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimise designs for production efficiency and quality. - Document design processes, maintain technical files, and contribute to design standards. - Engage in continuous improvement activities for product performance and cost-effectiveness.Qualifications- Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum 3 years of experience in design of precision mechanical components. - Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar). - Strong understanding of tribology, metallurgy, and material science. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as forging, heat treatment and machining.Desired Skills- Strong understanding of tribology, metallurgy, and material science. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as forging, heat treatment and machining. - Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing. - Ability to work with ERP systems. - Keen attention to detail, and strong problem solving ability. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.Salary: 25-40k/month depending on qualifications, experience and skills.
