The Assistant Manager – Inventory & Dispatch will oversee centralized warehouse operations for uniforms (Academic & Non-Academic), welcome kits, and student modules, ensuring seamless distribution to 200+ offline centers across India. The role requires expertise in inventory control, dispatch planning, vendor coordination, and process improvement for efficient supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate stock keeping of all categories – uniforms, welcome kits, and student modules.
- Forecast demand based on academic cycles and regional requirements.
- Supervise cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of physical vs. system inventory.
- Manage replenishment planning with procurement teams.
2. Dispatch & Logistics Operations
- Plan and execute pan-India dispatches to 150 centers within defined timelines.
- Supervise packing, labeling, and dispatch documentation for accuracy.
- Negotiate and coordinate with logistics/courier partners for timely delivery.
- Monitor shipment movement, resolve escalations, and ensure zero service gaps.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Act as SPOC for academic, non-academic, and regional teams for dispatch requirements.
- Align with center heads on material needs and delivery schedules.
- Manage escalations related to shortages, delays, or damages.
4. Process Compliance & Reporting
- Implement SOPs for warehouse, inventory, and dispatch operations.
- Track KPIs – dispatch accuracy, turnaround time, delivery adherence.
- Prepare MIS & dashboards for management (stock movement, pending orders, aging inventory).
- Identify areas for process optimization and cost efficiency.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of inventory & warehouse management systems (ERP/WMS).
- Knowledge of pan-India logistics & dispatch planning.
- Analytical & problem-solving skills for supply chain challenges.
- Team leadership and vendor management capabilities.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel / Google Sheets / MIS reporting.
Qualification & Experience:
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in inventory management & dispatch operations.
- Prior experience in pan-India distribution (educational sector/retail/e-commerce preferred).
