Job Description

● Oocyte Retrieval (Egg Harvesting): A procedure where eggs are collected from a woman’s ovaries to be used in IVF.

● Embryo Transfer: The placement of one or more embryos into the uterus after fertilization in the laboratory.

● Sperm Retrieval: A procedure to collect sperm from a male, often used when sperm is absent in the ejaculate (such as in cases of azoospermia).

● Egg Freezing (Oocyte Cryopreservation): Freezing a woman's eggs for future use, typically in cases where she wishes to delay childbearing.

● Embryo Cryopreservation: Freezing embryos after IVF for later implantation in a future cycle.

● Ovarian Drilling: A laparoscopic procedure to treat polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) by removing parts of the ovary that are producing excess androgens.

● Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT): A process to test embryos for genetic conditions before transferring them into the uterus during IVF.

● Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): A less invasive procedure where sperm is placed directly into the uterus to increase the chance of fertilization.
