We are seeking a highly experienced Senior or Lead Cloud Engineer with a strong foundation in software development, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS serverless technologies, container orchestration, and CI/CD automation, alongside proficiency in modern programming languages.

You will lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and production-ready cloud-native applications while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Implement and manage containerized environments using Kubernetes, EKS, or OpenShift.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality solutions and conduct code and architecture reviews.
  • Optimize and monitor application and infrastructure performance using tools like Datadog.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • AWS or other cloud certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Must-Have Skills (5+ years)

  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless technologies (AWS Lambda).
  • Expertise in AWS managed databases (Amazon RDS, DynamoDB).
  • Deep understanding of containerization (Kubernetes, AWS EKS/ECS, OpenShift).
  • Proven experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence.

Should-Have Skills (3+ years)

  • Knowledge of AWS networking (Amazon API Gateway).
  • AWS storage services (Amazon S3).
  • Exposure to AWS AI/ML services (Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q, Amazon Q Business).
  • IaC experience with Terraform or AWS CDK.

Nice-to-Have Skills (1+ year)

  • Amazon Connect (Contact Center solutions).
  • HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
  • Kafka platforms (Apache Kafka, Confluent, Amazon MSK).
  • Multi-cloud exposure (Azure, GCP).
  • Monitoring tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic).
  • FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
  • SSO technologies (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, SAML).
  • Linux and shell scripting.
