Position: Freight Head Location: Gurgaon ️ Working Days: 6 days , on site - Monday- Saturday ⏰ Work Timings: 10am -7pm Experience: 10 Y + Client: Leading Logistic companyPosition OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our truck supply operations as AGM – Head Transportation (Truck Supply). The ideal candidate must come with a strong background in FTL transportation and hands-on experience in market vendor development, truck attachment, and team leadership.Key Responsibilities :Truck Supply Leadership: Ensure 100% daily truck placement as per business demand across geographies and categories (FTL). Vendor Development: Build and expand trucker and fleet owner networks through market leads and personal relationships. Attachment Strategy: Oversee truck attachment through both direct contacts and mobile app engagement, ensuring optimal supply readiness. Operational Excellence: Maintain pen-and-paper records of returns and ensure high standards of fulfillment and truck availability. Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of over 50 ground-level field executives responsible for truck onboarding and daily fulfillment. Technology Integration: Guide the team in using mobile and tech platforms to streamline truck supply and performance monitoring. Process Improvement: Analyze gaps in truck supply vs. demand and develop corrective measures to maintain high service levels. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to company SOPs, tracking daily metrics for truck placements, returns, and vendor performance.Required Qualifications & Skills :Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in FTL transportation and vendor development. Proven track record of leading large field teams in a high-paced logistics environment. Strong understanding of trucker behaviour, load demand patterns, and regional market dynamics. Practical knowledge of fleet attachment processes, operational documentation, and compliance. Tech-savvy with working experience in logistics mobile apps or digital platforms. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to operate independently and take full ownership of the supply function.
