Position Overview: The Data Architect is responsible fordesigning, implementing, and managing the data architectureof the organization. This includes ensuring that data isaccurate, accessible, secure, and scalableacross all systems. The role focuses on developingdata models ,database solutions , andintegration frameworksthat support business intelligence, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Design and implementend-to-end data architecture solutionsto support business intelligence, analytics, and data science needs. Definedata standards, governance policies, and data modeling best practices . Developconceptual, logical, and physical data modelsand ensure consistency across systems. Design and managedata integration processes , including ETL/ELT pipelines. Collaborate with software engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into architecture solutions. Overseedata storage, warehousing, and data lakestrategies (on-premises or cloud). Implementdata quality frameworksandmetadata management systems . Ensuredata security, privacy, and compliancewith regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Work withcloud data platformssuch as AWS, Azure, or GCP for scalable data solutions. Evaluate and recommend newdata technologies, tools, and platforms . Optimizedata workflows, queries, and database performance . Document data flows, architecture diagrams, and system dependencies. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inComputer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field . Strong expertise inSQLandNoSQLdatabases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra). Proficiency withdata modeling tools(e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio, Lucidchart). Hands-on experience withETL/ELT tools(e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, dbt). Experience withcloud data platforms— AWS (Redshift, Glue), Azure (Synapse, Data Factory), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow). Familiarity withdata warehousinganddata lake architectures . Understanding ofdata governance ,master data management (MDM) , andmetadata standards . Knowledge ofPython, Spark, or Hadoop ecosystemis a plus. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills. Strong communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as: AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty Google Professional Data Engineer Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) Experience implementingmodern data architectures(Data Mesh, Data Fabric). Familiarity withreal-time streaming platforms(Kafka, Kinesis). Experience inAI/ML data pipeline architecture . Background inenterprise-level data strategyorconsulting .
