As a Payment Lifecycle Analyst within Payments Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth transfer of funds between various parties while enhancing our payment operations framework. You will leverage your knowledge of automation technologies and systems architecture to process payments across various products and parties. Your responsibilities include identifying and resolving issues, making decisions guided by established practices, and contributing to short-term operational goals. You will engage with stakeholders, manage projects, and spur continuous improvement initiatives, building strong working relationships with internal lines of business. Your ability to understand and apply cybersecurity controls, anti-fraud strategies, and data analysis techniques will be key to your success in this role. Job responsibilities: - Utilize independent judgment and technical expertise to resolve exceptions and enhance control environments for technical, financial, and operational processes. - Conduct research and data analysis to address non-routine payment lifecycle issues and ensure accurate, timely fund transfers across various products. - Define project requirements and metrics using process models, and lead or contribute to process optimization initiatives to improve quality and customer experience. - Apply knowledge of systems architecture and automation technologies to support process optimization and build effective relationships with stakeholders and teams. - Coach, train, and mentor team members to uphold high service standards and serve as an escalation point for junior team members. - Proactively maintain key business relationships with Payments leaders, Regulatory Operations, and Controls Managers. Additionally, engage second-level stakeholders including Technology, Risk, and Compliance. - Support the quality facilitation of Payments Ops Governance meetings, through effective collation of information, use of data, identification, assessment, and management of risk. Questioning,root cause analysis and appropriate challenge to reach suitable corrective and preventative outcomes - Building knowledge of systems, processes, and regulatory requirements to support operational requirements and work with internal functional partners. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Advanced knowledge of global payment processing operations and systems architecture to support operational efficiency and change management. - Proficiency in data analysis techniques to interpret and communicate insights for informed decision-making with senior stakeholders. - Commercial and growth mindset to adapt to fast-paced environments and new business initiatives, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Understanding of cybersecurity controls and anti-fraud strategies to protect information and systems, and ability to navigate dynamic environments with evolving priorities. - Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and design-thinking techniques to drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Able to quickly shift gears and work on projects of varying nature with individuals across different regions, levels, functions. Comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting-style, unstructured environment - Promotes partnership, encourages collaboration, information sharing and discussion to break down silos. Leverages a flexible style, with the ability to influence in a broad set of circumstances. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Data based decision making, leveraging data to support key messages, discreet use of data to maximum effect. Technical and analytical skills, data manipulation and automation including Alteryx and Tableau. - Knowledge of financial products; banking fundamentals and regulatory environment - Project Coordination - Ability to support the Project Manager with action tracking, stakeholder management and production of key artefacts. - Data manipulation and analytics - Ability to develop Alteryx solutions and/ or Tableau dashboards. Competency in developing narrative from large and complex data sets, to allow scrutinization and Senior Leader decision making.
