Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced German Language Trainer to deliver high-quality German language instruction to professionals, or employees. The ideal candidate will create engaging lessons, assess student progress, and tailor teaching methods to meet different proficiency levels, fostering a supportive and interactive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach German language skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) to individuals or groups.

• Develop customized lesson plans according to student goals and proficiency levels.

• Use a variety of teaching techniques (visual, oral, immersive) to engage students in the learning process.

• Prepare students for German language exams, certifications, or business use (e.g., Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDaF, business German).

• Evaluate student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.

• Adapt lessons based on individual or group needs, cultural context, or professional goals.

• Maintain records of student attendance and progress, and report on results as needed.

• Incorporate the use of technology and digital tools into the curriculum (where applicable).

• Provide tutoring, extra support, or coaching as needed for struggling students.

• Stay updated with the latest language teaching trends and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in German.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in German Language, Linguistics, Education, or a related field. A teaching certification (Goethe-Zertifikat or equivalent) is preferred.

• Experience: At least 2-3 years of teaching experience in German language instruction. Experience teaching online is a plus.

• Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to create an inclusive, motivating learning environment.

• Proficiency in using digital learning tools and platforms for remote classes.

• Adaptability in tailoring content to a diverse range of student needs.

Preferred:

• Experience teaching German for specific purposes (business, tourism, academic).

• Knowledge of German culture and the ability to integrate cultural lessons into language teaching.

• Familiarity with language assessment tools and certification requirements.
