Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role as a Unity Developer at Futad. As a Unity Developer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks of mobile game development and augmented reality (AR) projects. This includes level design, object-oriented programming (OOP), and programming in Unity. The role is primarily located in Bengaluru, with flexibility for some remote work.


Role Requirements


  1. Proficiency in Unity Engine:
  • Extensive experience with Unity's interface and tools.
  • Strong understanding of Unity's scripting API (C#).
  • Experience with Unity's asset pipeline, prefabs, scenes, and components.
  1. 3D and 2D Graphics:
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and animation software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max).
  • Experience with Unity's 2D and 3D graphics, including rendering, shaders, materials, and textures.
  • Understanding of lighting, shadows, and post-processing effects.
  1. AR/VR Development:
  • Experience with AR platforms (ARKit, ARCore, Vuforia).
  • Experience with VR platforms (Oculus, HTC Vive, PlayStation VR).
  • Understanding of spatial computing concepts and interaction design for immersive experiences.
  1. Interaction with External Devices:
  • Experience with Kinect or other motion-sensing technologies.
  • Ability to integrate various input devices and sensors.
  • Knowledge of handling real-time data streams and sensor data.
  1. AI Integration:
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and how to integrate AI models into Unity.
  • Familiarity with AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their integration with Unity.
  • Experience with Unity ML-Agents toolkit for training and deploying AI in games and simulations.
Additional Technical Skills


  1. Networking and Multiplayer:
  • Experience with multiplayer networking solutions (Photon, UNet, Mirror).
  • Knowledge of server-client architecture and real-time communication protocols.
  1. Physics and Mathematics:
  • Strong grasp of physics concepts as they apply to game development.
  • Ability to implement complex mathematical algorithms and transformations.
  1. Performance Optimization:
  • Techniques for optimizing game performance, including memory management and frame rate optimization.
  • Profiling and debugging tools in Unity.
  1. UI/UX Design:
  • Skills in designing and implementing user interfaces.
  • Understanding of usability principles and user-centered design.
  1. Scripting and Programming:
  • Advanced C# programming skills.
  • Experience with other relevant programming languages (e.g., Python for AI, JavaScript for web integration).
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Project Management and Collaboration


  1. Version Control:
  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git, SVN).
  • Experience with collaborative development tools (GitHub, GitLab).
  1. Project Management:
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Trello).
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  1. Problem-Solving:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues effectively.

  1. Portfolio of Completed Projects:
  • Demonstrable experience through a portfolio of completed Unity projects, particularly those that showcase a range of multimedia solutions.
  • Experience working on commercial or large-scale projects is a plus.
