Spotline - TOSCA Automation Engineer - SAP & Salesforce Platforms

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Tosca Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an onsite role requiring a local consultant with extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing automated testing solutions using Tricentis Tosca, specifically within SAP and Salesforce environments.

This ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong understanding of test automation methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Test Automation Strategy and Planning

- Collaborate with stakeholders (Business Analysts, Developers, Testers) to understand testing requirements and define automation scope.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy utilizing Tricentis Tosca best practices.

- Identify suitable test cases for automation and prioritize them based on risk and business impact.

Test Script Development and Execution

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and reusable automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca.

- Utilize Tosca modules, test case design, and execution lists effectively.

- Implement data-driven testing and keyword-driven testing approaches.

- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.

- Identify, log, and track defects using appropriate defect management tools.

SAP and Salesforce Automation Expertise

- Leverage in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in deploying and automating testing for SAP applications (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC).

- Utilize Tosca's SAP Engine 3.0 for effective SAP GUI and Fiori automation.

- Apply proven methodologies for automating complex SAP business processes.

- Utilize strong working experience in deploying and automating testing for Salesforce (SFDC) applications (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud).

- Utilize Tosca's Salesforce Engine for effective Salesforce Lightning and Classic UI automation.

- Apply proven methodologies for automating complex Salesforce workflows and business processes.

Execution and DEX Administration

- Proficiently execute test automation scripts within the Distributed Execution (DEX) environment.

- Perform complete administration tasks on DEX, including setup, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

- Ensure optimal performance and stability of the DEX environment.

- Manage DEX agents and resources effectively.

Data Management

- Develop and implement strategies for effective test data management within Tosca.

- Create and maintain test data sets required for automation.

Analysis

- Generate comprehensive test execution reports and provide clear and concise summaries of test results to stakeholders.

- Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work with development teams to resolve issues.

Improvement

- Stay updated with the latest Tosca features and best practices.

- Identify opportunities for improving automation efficiency and effectiveness.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process.

Communication

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and manual testers.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding automation progress, risks, and issues.

- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Skills and Experience

- Minimum of 8 years of overall experience in software testing.

- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in test automation using Tricentis Tosca.

- Mandatory: Minimum of 3 years of proven working experience in deploying and automating testing over SAP Applications.

- Mandatory: Minimum of 2 years of proven working experience in deploying and automating testing over Salesforce (SFDC) Applications.

- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.

- Hands-on experience with DEX (Distributed Execution) in Tosca, including execution and complete administration.

- Proficiency in using Tosca modules, test case design, execution lists, and reporting functionalities.

- Experience with test data management within Tosca.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience with defect management tools (e.g., Jira, ALM).

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Desirable Skills

- Tosca certifications (e.g., AS1, AS2).

- Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium).

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., VB.NET, C#).

- Experience with performance testing tools.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration with automation frameworks.
