Job Description:


As a DevOps Engineer at Bitbase, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the infrastructure that supports our software development and deployment processes. You will work closely with software developers, system administrators, and other IT staff to ensure a seamless integration and delivery of our software solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Infrastructure Automation: Design, build, and maintain automated deployment pipelines, ensuring reliable and consistent deployments across environments.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development and release processes.
  • Monitoring & Performance: Set up and maintain monitoring tools to ensure the health, performance, and security of production systems.
  • Configuration Management: Manage and automate configuration of systems using tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with software development, QA, and operations teams to deliver high-quality products and services.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Manage cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Incident Management: Respond to system alerts and incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security best practices across all systems and processes.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for processes, system configurations, and deployment procedures.


Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, System Administration, or Software Engineering.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CI.
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN).
  • Understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure best practices.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with microservices architecture.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
