We are seeking an accomplishedSenior Data Modeler / Associate Data Architectwith strong expertise in designing scalable enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building conceptual, logical, and physical data models, enabling enterprise-wide data governance, and leading cloud-based data modernization initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional business and engineering teams to define robust data architecture, build optimized data processing layers, and guide teams through implementation best practices across OLTP, OLAP, and modern cloud environments. Key Responsibilities Data Architecture & Modelling Design, develop, and maintainconceptual, logical, and physical data modelsfor OLTP, OLAP, data warehouses, and cloud platforms. ApplyMedallion architecture , ER modeling, dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake), Data Vault, and advanced data modeling techniques. Build reusable intermediary data layers and physical consumable views for data marts. Ensure alignment of data models with enterprise architecture and business requirements. Requirement Gathering & Documentation Partner with business/product teams to understand processes, gather requirements, and translate them into high-level specifications. Developdata mapping , source-to-target documents, metadata documentation, and lineage diagrams. Data Governance & Quality Implement and overseedata governance frameworks , data retention policies, and data quality rules. Use data observability tools and automated anomaly detection mechanisms. Maintain business glossaries, reference data, and data dictionaries. Cloud Platforms & Engineering Collaboration Work extensively on cloud platforms such asSnowflake, BigQuery, and GCP ; contribute to cloud solution architecture. Guide engineers in ETL/ELT design, Snowflake implementation, and performance optimization. Support DevOps, DataOps, and CI/CD data pipelines. Stakeholder Management & Leadership Act as the principal reviewer for all data models and architecture artifacts across projects. Mentor and coach junior modelers, analysts, and engineers. Communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Migration & Modernization Projects Lead data migration initiatives across BFSI, healthcare, or enterprise domains. Conduct profiling, lineage analysis, performance tuning, and schema optimization. Review stored procedures, database objects, triggers, and business logic. Required Skills & Expertise Core Competencies Enterprise Data Architecture, Medallion Architecture Data Modelling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical) OLTP, OLAP, Dimensional Modelling (Star/Snowflake) Data Governance, Metadata Management, Master Data ETL/ELT & Data Warehousing Agile, Scrum, Waterfall SDLC Technical Skills Cloud:GCP (BigQuery), Snowflake Databases:Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL Modeling Tools:ER/Studio ETL Tools:Ab Initio Visualization:Power BI, Tableau Strong SQL expertise—analytical functions, indexing, optimization, partitioning, query tuning Knowledge of Snowflake features: Snowpipes, Streams, Tasks, zero-copy cloning Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications or related field Experience in BFSI, healthcare, insurance, or enterprise-scale systems Certifications (preferred): Cisco Data Analytics Essentials Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
