Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Experience: 3-5 years

Job Description:

The Design Engineer – Electrical will be responsible for end-to-end electrical design, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and managing project execution. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise along with managerial and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work in an electrical design consultancy or turnkey electrical supplier company, handling complete electrical design from substation to lighting.
  2. Hands-on experience in electrical design as per IS standards/industrial norms, covering substations, lighting, and associated electrical components.
  3. Prepare design specifications for LT & HT panels, transformers, DG sets, and oversee their commissioning.
  4. In-depth knowledge of pre-engineering and post-engineering for HT panels, PCCs, MCCs, IMCC, APFC, VFD, Lighting DBs, cable trench/tray layouts, and BOM preparation for panels and electrical items.
  5. Design and BOM preparation for fire and alarm systems.
  6. Experience in cost estimation after detailing.
  7. Hands-on experience in commissioning electrical systems at project sites.
  8. Design complete industrial electrification, including BOM and design specifications.
  9. Lead and mentor electrical design engineers within the company.
  10. Effectively communicate and coordinate with suppliers, customers, internal teams, and factory units.
  11. Responsible for electrical design in AP projects.
  12. Develop and produce all electrical design documents for assigned projects.
  13. Manage electrical engineering scope in proposals and project executions.
  14. Define and improve execution models for electrical engineering.
  15. Experience in electrical panel design and detailed engineering.
  16. Conduct meetings with internal and external clients to discuss project requirements.
  17. Address HR and recruitment needs for the electrical department.
  18. Extensive experience in industrial electrical design and execution.
