AutoCAD Draftsman creates detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, blueprints, and models using AutoCAD software for various industries like construction, engineering, and manufacturing. Key responsibilities include collaborating with architects and engineers, ensuring designs meet safety and industry standards, maintaining organized project files, and revising drawings based on feedback. 

Core Responsibilities:

Create technical drawings: Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and models for buildings, parts, equipment, or other projects. 

Collaborate with professionals: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to understand design concepts and incorporate changes. 

Ensure accuracy and compliance: Verify that drawings and designs adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. 

Manage project files: Organize and maintain project documentation, drawings, and revision histories. 

Incorporate feedback: Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, and other stakeholders. 

Calculate dimensions and materials: Perform necessary calculations and determine materials required for project completion. 

Key Skills & Qualifications:

AutoCAD proficiency: Expertise in using AutoCAD for 2D and 3D drafting and modeling. 

Strong attention to detail: Ability to create precise and accurate technical drawings. 

Understanding of drafting principles: Knowledge of drafting standards, symbols, and best practices. 

Technical knowledge: Understanding of construction, manufacturing processes, and applicable codes and regulations.

Typical Qualifications: 

A diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
