We are currently in search of a seasoned WordPress Developer with specialized experience in Roots tools (Sage, Bedrock, and Trellis). This role is designed for a developer who is passionate about crafting secure, efficient, and scalable websites using the WordPress platform and is proficient in the Roots development environment.


Responsibilities
  • Develop, launch, and manage WordPress websites using Roots tools (Sage for theme development, Bedrock for WordPress configuration, and Trellis for environment management).
  • Implement custom themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure high-performance and availability of websites, optimizing code for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Apply best practices for secure, stable, and high-performing web solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with front-end developers and designers to ensure seamless web design integration and to enhance user experience.
  • Conduct website performance tests and troubleshooting WordPress issues.
  • Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, especially those related to WordPress and Roots tools, to implement innovative solutions.


Requirements
  • Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with deep knowledge of the Roots tools suite (Sage, Bedrock, and Trellis).
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience in PHP back-end development tailored to WordPress standards.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git), and development workflows.
  • Knowledge of WordPress REST API for integration with third-party services and custom app development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous work with WordPress and specifically projects using Roots tools.
  • Good communication skills, with proficiency in English, to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
