Job Title:Database Developer (SQL Server & Oracle)Location:Hyderabad Experience:5+ Years Employment Type:Full-Time Job Description We are looking for an experiencedDatabase Developer/Engineerwith strong expertise inSQL Server and Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing database solutions to support enterprise applications and data-driven systems. This role requires hands-on experience in database programming, performance tuning, data modeling, and troubleshooting in both SQL Server and Oracle environments. Key Responsibilities Database Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain database objects such astables, views, stored procedures, triggers, functions, andpackages. Write complexSQL queries and PL/SQL codefor data extraction, transformation, and reporting. Implement and maintaindata integrity, consistency, and qualityacross multiple systems. Performance Tuning & Optimization: Analyze and tune SQL queries and database performance for optimal speed and scalability. Identify and resolve bottlenecks, deadlocks, and performance issues. Use tools likeSQL Profiler, AWR, and Explain Planto monitor and improve query performance. Database Design & Architecture: Collaborate with application and data teams to design logical and physical data models. Implement efficient indexing and partitioning strategies to handle large data volumes. Participate in database schema design reviews and recommend improvements. Backup, Recovery & Security: Implement and maintainbackup and recovery strategiesusing native tools or third-party utilities. Ensure data security throughuser management, roles, and permissions. Work with infrastructure teams on high availability, disaster recovery, and failover setups. Collaboration & Documentation: Collaborate with application developers to ensure smooth integration between application and database layers. Prepare and maintain documentation for database objects, procedures, and standards. Support testing, release management, and production deployment activities. Required Skills & Experience 5+ yearsof hands-on experience withSQL Server and Oracle databases. Strong proficiency inT-SQL and PL/SQLprogramming. Experience withdatabase design, normalization, indexing, and partitioning. Proven expertise inperformance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting. Solid understanding ofbackup/recovery procedures,security, anddatabase administration concepts. Experience working inAgile/Scrumenvironments. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Good to Have Experience withETL tools(SSIS, Informatica, or similar). Knowledge ofdata warehousing conceptsandBI tools(Power BI, Tableau). Familiarity withCloud database services(AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Oracle Cloud). Exposure toDevOps/CI-CD pipelinesfor database deployment automation. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inComputer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
